A.J. Travis leads Northside ground attack

SAMANTHA | The Northside Rams ran the ball 47 times, picking up 423 yards in a 47-32 win over the Berry Wildcats on Friday night.

A.J. Travis ran for 186 yards on 13 carries. Travis scored three times on runs of 22, 43 and 31 yards.

Zarrian Grant rushed for 167 yards on 12 carries. Grant also scored three times on rushes of 27, 42 and 19 yards.

Brady Robichaud rushed for 70 yards and scored on a 19-yard run. Robichaud also had an interception on defense.

Christian Smith led the Northside defense with seven tackles. Nick McRae had two sacks and four tackles.

Berry’s Terrance Hollingsworth led the team with 120 yards rushing on 15 carries with one touchdown.

Maken Potter had one passing touchdown and one rushing score for the Wildcats. Clancy Brown scored a rushing touchdown and ran for 76 yards. Luke Sanford had one receiving touchdown.

Northside (1-0) plays at Holt next Friday, while Berry (0-1) travels to Marion County.
