Sumter Central shutout by McGill-Toolen

MOBILE | McGill-Toolen rolled up 545 yards in total offense as the No. 2 Yellow Jackets defeated Sumter Central, 51-0, on Thursday night to finish the season at 10-0 and mark the winningest senior class in school history.
McGill used 11 rushers and seven different Yellow Jackets found the end zone.
The Yellow Jackets got rushing touchdowns from Malik Emmett, who had a 15-yarder among his 11 carries for 120 yards, a 20-yard score from Ito Smith 20 yards, along with scores from Terry George (1 yard), Jerrard Juzang (9 yards), Rodney Bryant (7 yards), and Tyrone Coleman (4 yards). Spencer Ruggs rushed for 178 yards on 12 carries all in the second half.
Harry Satterwhite connected with Reid Jones for a 13-yard touchdown.
Thomas Hamlin added a 41 yard field goal for the Yellow Jackets, who won their 20th consecutive regular season home game and will host Enterprise next week to open the Class 6A playoffs.
Defensively, McGill was just as dominant, holding the Jaguars to 99 total yards, allowing Sumter Central (1-9) to run only seven plays in Yellow Jackets territory, forcing four turnovers and not allowing a completed pass en route to their second shut out of the season.
The Yellow Jackets went over 50 points for the fourth time this season.
Sumter Central quarterback JeMarkus Thompson ran for 66 yards on 26 carries.
